There are far more intelligent use cases of AI for analyzing stocks than the ways described in this article. AI is a tool for most people, but it’s a super enhancer for only a small number of investors that truly respect the immense thinking power embedded in LLMs.

Can you explain what you mean by “immense thinking power embedded in LLMs”? I have read a couple of white papers on LLMs and I am not sure how you came up with “thinking power”.

LLMs do not “think” they process tokens.

Yeah having read through the fundamental transformer architecture of LLMs, you might notice that LLMs are ultimate pattern recognition structures - so even though LLMs don’t “think” as humans do, they recognize patterns extremely well and pattern recognition is a key focus/capability for fundamental stock investors. In that regard, they have more superior thinking power than most investors do…

Yes, they are pattern recognizers. But they can only interpolate and not extrapolate.

For example, ask it about something new and it won’t be able to give an opinion.

I’ve discussed with AI about many things that are new and AI was able to give me opinions or insights that are inspirational for myself to think better.
